Madelyn O’Neal and her two daughters suddenly up-root from their comfortable home in Lexington, Kentucky, to move back to Maddie’s roots in a small, rural Vermont town in the north.
Each is forced to face trials on all fronts.
At first, things go well enough. Ashlynd, eighteen and determined to take up the sport of curling, lands a spot on the Woodstock Curling Team, while her younger sister Sami, a terrific singer, tries out for the high school glee club and is chosen to sing a solo part in the town’s annual Christmas Lighting. However, Sami quickly comes face to face with bullying and north/south prejudice when a member of the glee club becomes jealous.
And Maddie’s world turns upside down when a new love interest comes into her life – against the likings of her daughter Ashlynd. But with solid family values, the trio stay strong and meet their challenges head-on.
